Why stop at Buc-ee’s? The experience.

Meet Buc-ee’s
I had my first expereince Saturday evening. I thought I was going to a convenience store. Boy, was I wrong. To understand my reaction to Buc-ee’s you need to understand the context.

I arrived at Buc-ee’s at approximately 8:15 Pm last Saturday. So far that day I had spent four hours at my daughter’s college graduation, cleaned out her apartment, loaded her belongings into our vehicles, and now was driving home so I could get into bed and be prepared for Sunday morning. I was not in a mood for dawdling.

The sign into the Buc-ee’s parking lot said, “No 18-wheelers please.” This place is truck stop size without the truck stop ambiance.

Inside, the bright, cheerful attitude greets you at the door. The aisles are wide and all the products in the store are neatly organized. A restroom attendant constantly cleans the restroom where hand sanitizers sit at each stall.

I’m finding it hard to describe Buc-ee’s to you. This reminds me of the time I heard a senior adult ask a younger person, “So, what is the Internet anyway?” How would you describe the Internet to a person who has no idea of what it is? I would probably say, “Here, let me show you.”

This is the genious of Buc-ee’s. At Buc-ee’s thier goal is to “make sure you have a great experience.” Not sell gasoline? Get you to buy over-priced drinks and candy bars? Nope. Make sure you have a great experience.

Listen to these testimonials:

I was introduced to your store in Luling by my girlfriend and her son…. I have since turned on my entire family to the Bucee’s Experience. We can’t wait until your store in Wharton is open…

I just wanted to let you know that this is the CLEANEST store I have ever been in. I notice each and everytime I go into this store, ITS HAS TO BE THE MOST ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE.

We thank you for your help and we want to thank you also for a great store and it is always a great experience.

On Saturday, tired and ready to be home, I walked around in the Buc-ee’s store and didn’t want to leave. I was having a great time. You can buy gas and over-priced sugar snacks anyplace. Why do people plan their trips around stops at Buc-ee’s? The experience.

give nuggets as wedding favors.

Hi,
My name is Sally Van-Loh and my fiance and I are getting married in November and would like to give nuggets as wedding favors. Would you guys be willing to sell them wholesale. I’m looking to buy between 100-150 bags. Please let me know, I’d appreciate it. By the way, my married name will be Sally Beavers.

my precious little dog

I was at the Madisonville location on Saturday with my precious little dog who travels with me all the time. I bought her a Bucees tee shirt and put it on her and took a couple of photos that I’d like to send to you over email. May I do that? I’m hoping you’ll put one of them on the site. She’s looking out the window with her shirt on at the big Bucees sign. I have another one with her appearing to be driving with her Bucees tee on! I think yo\’ll like them! I enjoyed the new Madisonville store and plan to stop in every time I travel to Dallas! Nice place!!! Thanks. Sherry Hultsman.

Madisonville store on the opening day

I was in the Madisonville store on the opening day and have to stay it is simply amazing how many products you have. The people you have hired there are so nice and polite. One young lady that worked in the coffee shop seemed real knowledgable about her coffee and she always had a smile. I walked in the very next day and she remembered me, it’s nice to know that even though its a large store people are willing to getto know you. I am now a die hard buc-ee’s fan. By the way i think the girls name was, Veronica.

The Harrod’s of Convenience Stores

The Orchard Chronicles writes about Dr Pepper, Baylor and Buc-ee’s:

…the real reason I travel this road is because situated smack dab in the middle of Eagle Lake, Texas we find one of the finest chains of convenience stores ever conceived by mankind, Buc-ee’s.

full of friendly people

There are alot of us here in Sugarland/Richmond/Rosenberg that would like to see Deer Corn and Habanero Garlic at your new store on Crabb River Road, on Hwy 59 and Hwy 99. We do not want to have to travel to El Campo, or Wharton to get it. The corn we could buy at Wal-Mart Or Academy but we would like to give our money to Buc-ees. It is very convenient and full of friendly people. Please try and get these items at this location. We thank you for your help and we want to thank you also for a great store and it is always a great experience.

Thanks,
Jeff Fisher
